Rubber is elastic, not plastic! Vulcanization creates a stable cross-linked polymer structure with unsurpassed dimensional stability, elasticity, and long-term durability. Our systems involve patented, very competitive elastomeric materials and splicing techniques. Elastoseal EPDM elongates to a maximum 300% and can be strained in all directions at the same time (multiaxial response). EPDM is NOT subject to “stress cracking,” whereas semi-crystalline materials will break even at low stress.
